As one of its best global suppliers of flexible packaging, Bischof + Klein has been presented with the "Supplier of Excellence Award 2008" by brand manufacturer Procter & Gamble (P&G). Bischof + Klein supplies P&G with flexible packaging for its female and baby hygiene, detergents and cleaning materials and pet food segments, and is to be gradually developed into one of Procter & Gamble's top manufacturers over the next few years.
Procter & Gamble invited its 300 best suppliers to a summit meeting in Cincinnati, the location of the Group's headquarters in the USA. Together with P&G employees from various divisions, who travelled from all over the world, around 1600 participants attended this meeting.
Even the invitation in itself is regarded as a special honour by B+K, as only the best of the Group's suppliers, chosen from some 80,000 companies scattered around the world, were invited to Cincinnati.
Jack Ryan, the VP with overall responsibility for purchasing in the hygiene product division at P&G's headquarters, cited several reasons as the basis of B+K's award: Thanks to its capable development team, B+K offers high innovation potential. This effective co-operation enables innovative products to be quickly launched onto the market around the world.
The outstanding commercial co-operation is characterised by the company's sustained competitiveness and the will to grow along with Procter & Gamble. Openness and transparency have led to a high degree of trust between both companies.
Finally, B+K focuses intensively on P&G's needs. This includes a constantly high level of quality, optimal service and the willingness to invest in modern production technologies. |
