B+K (UK) Ltd. provide a range of high quality products to meet the specific needs of our customers and their quality standards. This includes meeting the stringent hygiene standards associated with food manufacturing industries.
As part of our commitment to satisfying the needs of our customers, B+K (UK) Ltd. has implemented a range of quality and hygiene policies. These form an integral part of our Continuous Improvement system.
B+K (UK) Ltd. is accredited to several established widely accepted standards including the BRC/IOC Global Food Packaging, ISO 9001:2000, and has also achieved U.S. Food and Drug Administration / IMS Compliance.

Appropriate training is given to ensure that all members of the company have the competencies both individually and collectively to achieve the requirements of these standards.

BRC/IOP

B+K (UK) Ltd. ensures that its products and processes remain compliant with the strict codes laid out by the British Retail Consortium / Institute of Packaging in their Global Food Packaging Standard. Regular auditing by UKAS approved BRC auditors ensure that compliance is maintained. The systems in place are also used for our industrial products. B+K (UK) Ltd. applies the more stringent Category B section of this standard.

QUALITY IN THE B+K-GROUP

Quality in the B+K-GROUP has a long tradition and plants have national and international certificates such as the Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS II) of the European Union, DIN EN ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001 and ISO 14664-1 of the International Standardisation Organisation. Furthermore we hold certificates of the BRC/IoP (British Retail Consortium/Institute of Packaging) and the U.S. FDA (United States Food and Drug Administration). ISO 9001:2000

B+K (UK) Ltd. has held accreditation to International Quality Standard ISO 9001:2000 since its introduction. Prior to this B+K (UK) Ltd. carried the now superseded BS EN ISO 9002.

FOOD SAFETY ACT 1990

In addition to this the company recognises the aims and provisions of the Food Safety Act 1990 and the Food Safety (General Food Hygiene) Regulations 1995 as being essential in maintaining and enhancing business performance standards.

U.S. FDA STATUS

B+K (UK) Ltd. has carried U.S. Food and Drug Administration / IMS compliance for more than five years. Registered FDA auditors carry out auditing on an annual basis.

ENVIRONMENTAL POLICIES

B+K (UK) Ltd. has strict waste limitation policies. The vast majority of plastics waste is recycled into other less critical industries. Other wastes are disposed of through a local multi-business recycling system. Strict VOC (volatile organic compounds) controls are in place with a catalytic conversion system to eliminate emission of VOC’s from the printing and converting processes in use.
